Job Summary
The Research Assistant supports new cell culture reagent development and existing product improvement. The role includes feasibility studies, establishing optimized cell culture models, troubleshooting, and collaborating with Manufacturing and QC for tech transfer. Mammalian cell culture experience is required; antibody production knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities of Research Associate
- Design and execute experiments with supervisor guidance
- Independently conduct lab experiments
- Lead lab activities: training, ordering, and inventory management
- Create SOPs and product development documentation
- Troubleshoot cell-based assays
- Perform primary and cell line culture
- Quantify/characterize antibodies (SDS-PAGE, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, etc.)
- Improve cell culture processes
- Maintain ISO-compliant documentation
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing & QC
- Handle assigned projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Cell Biology, Immunology, or related field
- 2+ years academic/industry lab experience
- 2+ years mammalian cell culture experience
- 1+ year experience with SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and/or flow cytometry
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with primary cells (PBMCs, stem/progenitor cells)
- Experience in cell-based assays
- Experience in antibody development or characterization
Salary Range
$65,000 – $67,000 (base pay). Final offer depends on skills, experience, location, and internal equity. Additional compensation (bonuses, equity, benefits) may apply.

Laboratory setting with occasional computer and warehouse tasks
