In the department “Totipotency” (Dr. Kikuë Tachibana), a position is available for a Bioinformatician (m/f/d). The laboratory seeks a talented bioinformatician who shares a fascination with epigenetic and transcriptional reprogramming in early embryos. The key research aim is to understand the mechanisms of chromatin reprogramming and gene regulation that underlie the establishment of totipotency during mammalian development.
The successful applicant will contribute to understanding these mechanisms by analyzing transcriptomic, epigenetic, multi-omic, and chromatin conformation capture data obtained from ultra-low input or single-cell samples. This Bioinformatician PhD Vacancy involves working closely with experimental scientists and the NGS core facility hosted within the department, contributing to research projects from experimental design through data analysis, including methods development, to interpretation of the data.
Eligibility

Bioinformatician PhD Vacancy Requirements

- Expertise in programming and statistical analysis, ideally in Python, R, and/or other high-level programming languages, is essential
- Proficiency with high-performance clusters and Linux OS with in-depth IT skills
