Position Summary
The Microbiologist I conducts microbiological testing, ensures compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and collaborates on test method development. This role supports Empowerโs mission to expand access to affordable, innovative medications.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Conducts microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples
- Assists with laboratory investigations and implements corrective actions
- Documents procedures, results, and observations accurately
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams and contributes to research discussions
- Follows United States Pharmacopeia (USP) regulations

Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of microbiology laboratory experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field required
