Summary:
To serve as a liaison to the medical/scientific community, the Medical Science Liaison-Oncology is responsible for establishing, developing, and partnering with Health Care Providers/Professionals (HCPs) to ensure the appropriate dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding Novartis’ compounds in a timely, ethical, and stakeholder-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Expert Engagement: In collaboration with the cross-functional team, engage Medical Experts and study investigators to provide medical and scientific information to key HCPs.
- Scientific Research Support: Support Novartis clinical research program by identifying study sites and supporting study accrual for key trials.
- Scientific Exchange/Insights: Advance understanding of new scientific principles and collect insights from HCPs to shape medical strategy.
- Internal Novartis Contributions: Serve as a local medical resource for disease area training and contribute to shaping the IPS plan.
Ideal Background:
Education: Pharmacist, MSc, or other life sciences degree. Doctoral degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD).
Languages: Fluent in English & Local Language (oral and written).
Experience/Professional Requirements:
- Proven ability to develop relationships with Medical Experts and decision makers.
- Working knowledge of Healthcare System, research procedures, and ethical guidelines.
- Experience in medical education and communication within a therapeutic area.
