AstraZeneca Scientist Job Position Available For Cell Biology, Immunology

About the job: We are seeking a highly-motivated and independent Scientist with a BS and at least 3 years of research experience in Cellular Therapy, Immunology, and/or Immuno-Oncology to join our rapidly growing Cell Therapy Team. In this role, you will contribute to advancing innovative Cell Therapy products by designing and conducting laboratory experiments, developing methodology, and generating and interpreting scientific data in a highly collaborative environment. Expertise in in vivo studies and T cell biology is critical for this role. A successful candidate must be well-organized and must keep an excellent written record of their work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on in vivo research utilizing your expertise in animal handling, mouse tumor models, standard routes of dosing, and engraftment techniques.
- Actively contribute to the planning and design of in vivo studies, providing valuable scientific input.
- Conduct routine in vitro experiments to complement and support in vivo findings.
- Effectively communicate research results to team members and actively participate in data interpretation sessions.
- Support seamless team collaboration and ensure efficient relay of critical information.
- Provide technical guidance and instruction to other team members and manage relevant administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- BS in a relevant scientific field (Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or related) with 3+ years of research experience, OR an MS with 2 years of experience in the aforementioned fields.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrated in vivo skillset, including proficient animal handling, experience with mouse tumor models, standard dosing procedures, and engraftment techniques.
- Proven proficiency in cell culture of established cell lines and primary human immune cells.
- Hands-on expertise in conducting various T-cell functional characterization assays.
- Significant experience with flow cytometry experiments for cellular analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to independently lead small in vivo science projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills specifically related to in vivo research challenges and data analysis.
- Experience with transfection/transduction and expansion of primary cells for research purposes.
- Basic understanding and experience in developing cellular therapies.
- Prior experience with CRISPR/genome editing techniques.
- Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.
