Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related field.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of wet-lab experience (Bachelor’s) OR 0–2 years (Master’s).
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including PCR and nucleic acid handling.
- Ability to draft and review technical documents (test plans, reports).
- Preferred: Experience with JMP, Excel, and ddPCR platforms.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Research Associate Job Description
As a Research Associate II at Bio-Rad, you will play a key role in developing new ddPCR platforms by supporting product development, verification, and validation. This role is ideal for scientists with hands-on molecular biology expertise who enjoy working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Research Associate Key Responsibilities
- Design experiments, analyze data, and provide reports on the qualification of the ddPCR system.
- Identify and troubleshoot system reliability issues during qualification studies.
- Conduct verification and validation studies for ddPCR platforms and products.
- Compile study protocols, author reports, and manage reagent/consumable inventories.
- Collaborate with engineers, highlighting technical challenges and ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain effective teamwork and contribute to cross-functional communication.
