Summary:
The Laboratory Technician Job at Grifols involves conducting serum and plasma testing in alignment with customer requirements, including assay QC and analyzer maintenance. This role is designed for detail-oriented professionals who can work independently or with minimal supervision. Core duties also include supporting production schedules, preparing and diluting samples, performing solution preparations, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Primary Responsibilities for Laboratory Technician Role:

Perform serum/plasma testing, including sample preparation, dilutions, and assay calibration.

Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment.

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance.

Adhere strictly to SOPs, GMP guidelines, and safe laboratory practices.

Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and production schedules.

Support contract workmen and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.

Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of testing activities.

Monitor equipment condition and report abnormalities promptly.

Export test data to servers in a timely and organized manner.

Uphold housekeeping and participate in safety improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities For Laboratory Technician Job:

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to calculate ratios, prepare solutions, and perform metric conversions.

Ability to interpret SOPs, manuals, safety rules, and technical instructions effectively.

Skilled in troubleshooting minor equipment and analyzer issues.

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and labeling programs (DYMO).

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

Effective communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or a related life/physical science field is required for Laboratory Technician Job Role

0–3 years of laboratory or IVD manufacturing experience required.

Hematology laboratory experience preferred.

Similar work experience may be considered in lieu of direct IVD experience.
