Position Overview
Position title: Structural Biology IT Specialist (Associate Specialist – Specialist ranks)
Salary range: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,500 – $86,900.
Percent time: Full-time (100%)
Anticipated start: As soon as possible after the initial review of applications.
Position duration: Initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of reappointment.

Position Description
Professor Seth Rubin in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCSC invites applications for a Structural Biology IT Specialist. The specialist will oversee computational resources for electron microscopy and structural biology research, collaborate with faculty research groups, and train students in structural biology computational methods.
Responsibilities
- Manage data processing and storage in the electron microscopy facility.
- Contribute to research projects in macromolecular structure determination.
- Train students and postdoctoral fellows in structural biology computational methods.
