Job Description
As a Quality Control Technician, you will perform routine testing of in-process antigens and final product samples for the release of veterinary vaccines. This role ensures compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), USDA regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines, and regulatory submissions. You will maintain accurate records, assist with SOP documentation, and support environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and personnel. This life science job involves routine testing of veterinary vaccines, maintaining regulatory compliance, and contributing to innovative solutions in animal health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform required tests for bulk antigens, final products, raw materials, and other laboratory procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic laboratory techniques and ensure accurate test results
  • Maintain accurate testing records, ensuring compliance with SOPs, USDA, and cGMP regulations
  • Assist with writing, updating, and maintaining SOPs, bench records, and data entry
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, including microbial and particulate tests
  • Provide adequate training and confirm that procedural documentation is complete
  • Participate in teamwork to meet laboratory objectives and deadlines

Educational Qualificationsย 

Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Virology, Bacteriology, Biology, or related field

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in team-based environments and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in controlled informatics systems
  • Laboratory experience, including cell culture, viral/bacterial propagation, or biotechnology
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique
