This on-site role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and performing repair and planned maintenance (PM) on customersโ biomedical equipment. The position drives customer satisfaction by ensuring reliable, safe, and compliant operation of essential medical devices.
GE Careers- Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate basic biomedical equipment issues and implement repairs under supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and safety/environmental inspections.
- Assist experienced technicians with complex repairs and troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Follow GE policies, hospital protocols, and document all repair actions.
- Maintain tools, spares, and equipment calibration.
- Participate in on-call rotation when trained.
- Enhance technical knowledge through formal instruction and available resources.
Technician Job- Qualifications:
- Associateโs or Bachelorโs degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR High School diploma/GED with 2+ yearsโ relevant experience.
- Background in biomedical equipment preferred.
- Analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., bend, stoop, climb, and work in various physical positions.
- Willingness to work after hours or rotating on-call schedules.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment servicing.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements, including HHS, EHS, and other standards.
