Job Description:
- The Clinical Lab Scientist II serves as a lead technologist in the daily production of the section and provides technical support to staff.
- Performs specific lead functions: Reviews and implements quality control and quality assurance, provides oversight of the laboratory information system in Microbiology lab including procedure writing, in-service of staff and implementation of new applications, supervision of non-licensed staff and assumes responsibilities in the absence of the technical manager and may be in charge of the department on weekends and other periods as required.
- This position is for the evening/night shift. Weekends availability is required.
Minimum Education Qualification: Bachelor degree in biology or a related science
Minimum Experience: 3 years of laboratory experience.
License Required: California license as Clinical Laboratory Scientist required.
