Job Summary
Battelle is currently seeking an In-Vitro Assay/Microbiology Senior Technician. This position is located in West Jefferson, OH.
Responsibilities
-
- Working with highly hazardous biological materials in Biological Safety Level 2 (BSL-2) and Biological Safety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory
- Performing standard microbiological procedures; perform standard viral assays such as plaque assay, hemagglutination assay, and plaque reduction neutralization assays
- Focus on viral cell-based assays and virus propagation
Key Qualifications

- Associateโs degree in microbiology/molecular biology plus 3 yearsโ experience, or a Bachelorโs degree in microbiology/molecular biology plus 2 yearsโ experience
- 2 yearsโ experience in a laboratory setting working with viruses post graduation
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a BSL-3 laboratory
- Knowledge or training in FDA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
