Your Role:
We are seeking a passionate R&D Scientist with expertise in Microbiology to join our BioMonitoring R&D team at our Laclede facility in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will expand our food pathogen diagnostics portfolio, support development projects, and contribute to our BioMonitoring strategy. Join us in driving innovative projects and making a real impact in the field of food safety.
Physical Attributes:
- Ability to lift 15 – 20 lbs.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualification:
- PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or other life science field.
- 1+ years of Life Science or Biotechnology experience.
OR
- MS degree with 3+ years of Life Science or Biotechnology experience.
- 1+ years experience working independently on multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSL-2 Lab Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and proper handling of pathogenic microorganisms.
- Experience in Growth, Isolation and Identification of Bacterial Pathogens: Proven expertise in isolating and accurately identifying various foodborne pathogens using standard microbiological techniques and methodologies.
