Biotechnology Job at Lonza- Role:
The Biotechnologist I (Nights – B Shift) position at Lonza’s Portsmouth, NH facility focuses on the cGMP manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API). This role involves executing process recipes, monitoring production equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance. Responsibilities include performing basic lab tasks like pH and conductivity testing, transferring raw materials, and documenting all activities per GMP and GDP protocols. The position requires attention to detail, commitment to safety, and willingness to learn within a fast-paced biopharmaceutical production environment.
Life Science Jobs- Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor production processes (CIP/SIP operations).
- Document production activities according to GMP/GDP standards.
- Perform basic laboratory testing (pH, conductivity, sampling).
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization under 6S standards.
- Transfer raw materials and assist in routine sanitization.
- Participate in team meetings, shift exchanges, and project tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (AS/BS in Science preferred).
- Experience: Prior GMP, biotech, or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and eagerness to learn.
