Eligbility Criteria:ย
A Bachelorโs Degree or higher in Chemical, Biochemical, Food, or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
โข ย 1+ years of experience in process engineering
โข ย Previous experience with one or more of the following unit operations- extraction, separation, thermal processing, extrusion, or drying
โข ย Strong verbal and written communication skills
โข ย Demonstrated ability to collect, process, and analyze data
โข ย Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
โข ย Strong time management and organizational skills
โข ย Computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
โข ย Willing and able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
โข ย The ability to work in a commercial plant environment that could include high temperatures
โข ย Willing and able to sit or stand for extended periods, including climbing stairs
โข ย Willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time, including both domestic and international (Covid regulations permitting)
The following are preferred:ย
โข ย 5+ years of experience in process engineering
โข ย Previous processing engineering experience in the food industry
โข ย Six Sigma experience
โข ย Statistical knowledge, including the use of Minitab

The Process Engineer will use their knowledge of engineering, chemistry, food science, microbiology, biotechnology, and other sciences to collaborate with our team successfully. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โข Propose, prepare, conduct, direct, and analyze operations data, experiments and plant trials
โข Research and/or develop new processes to support new plant-based protein product introduction
โข Improve existing processes to increase productivity
โข Provide engineering expertise to improve production quality
โข Accurately document research activities and communicate results to stakeholders
โข Maintain/update manufacturing procedures for existing products
โข Work in all stages of process development, from pilot plants to commercial facilities, developing innovations and coordinating product rollouts in extrusion and spray drying facilities
โข Demonstrate leadership behavior that is consistent with IFF Core Values
โข Adhere to regulatory, good manufacturing practices and food safety requirements
