Clinical Research Job Details:
- Job Title: Clinical Lab Aide II
- Location: Brisbane, CA
- Work Arrangement: On-site
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient specimen processing under direct supervision of a licensed CLS
- Assist with routine laboratory maintenance and setup of consumables
- Support CLS staff with bench-level laboratory testing
- Receive and accession samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Perform instrument calibration and routine maintenance
- Enter data and maintain spreadsheets
- Support materials management activities, including ordering, receiving, labeling, and stocking reagents and consumables
- Participate in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities
- Perform testing for special research and development studies
- Comply with CareDx QC policies and document QC activities
- Maintain confidentiality of personal health information (PHI)
- Identify and escalate issues affecting test performance or protocol compliance
- Document corrective actions when systems deviate from performance specifications
- Perform additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
Qualifications For Clinical Research Job
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in a biology-related field preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant experience
- Phlebotomy Technician License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, and vendors
- Aptitude for molecular testing techniques (e.g., PCR, real-time PCR)
- Prior laboratory experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
