The Opportunity
This 12-week, full-time internship offers hands-on experience within Teva’s Lab Operations, Compliance and Quality group in the Specialty Bioanalytics (SB) department. Interns will contribute to high-impact projects from day one, gaining exposure to laboratory operations, quality control, and regulated sample management in a GLP-compliant environment.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
Sample Management
- Observe and learn regulated sample management processes, including:
- Lab manual finalization
- Sample receipt, documentation, handling, storage, tracking, and disposal
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Shipping & Receiving, Customs & Trade Compliance (CTC), Nonclinical Development (NCD), Global Clinical Operations (GCO), and SB bioanalytical groups
- Learn document and specimen archival, sample recall, and destruction processes
- Gain understanding of import/export requirements for biological samples (invoices, permits, licenses, declarations)
- Lead sample reconciliation efforts using data transfer specifications
Laboratory Operations
- Learn maintenance qualification processes for controlled temperature units
- Assist with testing and qualification of new laboratory equipment and instruments
Quality Control
- Learn good documentation practices and their importance in regulated environments
- Review regulated work completed in electronic systems (ELNs, plate readers, LIMS)
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Your Experience & Qualifications For Biology Internship
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Biology
- Or a related field
- Fundamental laboratory experience (coursework or prior internship)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Interest in regulatory compliance, processes, and procedures
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
