Educational Requirements for Food Process Technician:
- Degree or ongoing qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Bakery Science, or related discipline (preferred)
- Equivalent hands-on experience in food processing or bakery development will be considered
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Food Process Technician, you should support bakery operations and ensure that QMS, BRC, and Health & Safety documentation is completed accurately.
- Ensure raw material rotation and allergen management in line with site GMP and allergen policies.
- Prepare concept bread samples in response to written briefs and recommend improvements to quality and processability.
- Conduct shelf-life evaluations and routine product testing, producing reports and corrective action recommendations.
- Collate standard product samples and coordinate delivery to support sales and customer objectives
- Assist with scale-up trials, plant trials, and NPD projects, including data collection and reporting.
Skills Required:
- Good technical understanding of food processing and bakery operations
- Basic knowledge of product development cycles and QMS procedures
- Understanding of shelf life, microbiology, food spoilage, and preservation techniques
- Ability to create a basic bread recipe independently and troubleshoot common baking issues
- Strong interest in food science trends, nutrition, sensory science, and customer label requirements are required skills for the Food Process Technician Role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a flexible working approach
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
