Educational Requirements for the Food Scientist Position:

Key Responsibilities of the Food Scientist:
- Identify product growth opportunities and support new product development initiatives
- Analyze and interpret market trends and data to drive innovation strategies
- Stay current with scientific literature and analytical advancements
- Provide technical leadership in product formulation, process development, quality systems, and regulatory oversight
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, operations, food safety, quality, and regulatory
- Translate customer needs into commercially viable product concepts
- Develop short- and long-term testing programs for experimental and commercial products
- Independently resolve moderately complex technical challenges while escalating critical issues when needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assigned R&D projects
Skills Required for the Food Scientist Role:
- Strong foundation in food science, product development, and ingredient functionality
- Experience with cooked protein formulation, sensory evaluation, and product commercialization
- Knowledge of experimental design, statistical modeling, and data interpretation
