Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, or related field
- Basic knowledge of biologics manufacturing, cell culture, or vector products is preferred
Key Responsibilities of Associate Specialist Role:
- Execute manufacturing batch records, SOPs, and work instructions “right the first time”
- Document all activities to comply with cGMP standards
- Monitor, clean, prepare, and operate automated cell processing, expansion, and filling equipment in Grades A–D cleanrooms
- Participate in tech transfer and process development activities
- Support process improvement initiatives in cell therapy manufacturing
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with AstraZeneca standards
Skills Required for Associate Specialist Role:
- Basic knowledge of biologics manufacturing, cell culture, or vector products
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and open/closed system manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment and process analytical technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication, independent working skills, and adaptability
- Previous experience with cell therapy or vector product manufacturing is a plus
