Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of biologics manufacturing, cell culture, or vector products is preferred

Key Responsibilities of Associate Specialist Role:

  • Execute manufacturing batch records, SOPs, and work instructions “right the first time”
  • Document all activities to comply with cGMP standards
  • Monitor, clean, prepare, and operate automated cell processing, expansion, and filling equipment in Grades A–D cleanrooms
  • Participate in tech transfer and process development activities
  • Support process improvement initiatives in cell therapy manufacturing
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with AstraZeneca standards

Skills Required for Associate Specialist Role:

  • Basic knowledge of biologics manufacturing, cell culture, or vector products
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and open/closed system manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment and process analytical technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication, independent working skills, and adaptability
  • Previous experience with cell therapy or vector product manufacturing is a plus
