Educational Requirements for the Quality Control Associate Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in an analytical or QC laboratory environment
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Control Associate:
- Perform quality control sampling and testing for identity, strength, purity, and quality
- Conduct assays including DNA isolation, mycoplasma, endotoxin, myogenic differentiation, and desmin testing
- Perform lot testing and support QC validation projects
- Assist in nonconformance and deviation investigations with additional testing as required
- Write and maintain QC plans, reports, and documentation
- Recommend and help establish improved QC testing methods
- Perform cell culturing for lot testing and research activities
- Maintain side labs, inventories, and removal of expired materials
- Support cleanroom environmental control and cleaning practices
- Adhere to cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, safety, and company quality standards
- Participate in continuous learning and skill development initiatives
Skills Required for the Quality Control Associate Role:
- Basic understanding of cGMP and biopharmaceutical regulations
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
- Hands-on laboratory testing and analytical skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
