Educational Requirements for the Research Associate Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field with 1–3 years of hands-on lab experience
- OR Associate degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in histology, tissue prep, staining, microscopy
- Familiarity with IHC systems
- Basic knowledge of anatomy/pathology
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop
Key Responsibilities of the Research Associate:
- Perform and interpret antibody IHC staining following SOPs
- Optimize staining conditions for improved validation outcomes
- Manage sample processing, data analysis, and documentation
- Support routine lab operations including equipment maintenance, calibration, and reagent preparation
- Maintain accurate inventory of lab supplies and assist with procurement
- Participate in lab meetings and contribute scientific insights
- Follow safety, regulatory, and organizational compliance guidelines
- Utilize internal databases for reporting and data management
- Assist in revising and improving SOPs
- Learn new laboratory techniques to support evolving business needs
Skills Required for the Research Associate Role:
- Proficiency in IHC workflows and staining interpretation
- Basic understanding of histology, microscopy, and tissue structure
- Familiarity with automated IHC platforms (preferred)
- Competence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
