Educational Requirements:
- BS/BA in Life Sciences or a related field
- OR AS/AAS in Biotechnology or Biological Science
- OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Key Responsibilities for Production Specialist Role:
- Perform manufacturing tasks for clinical and commercial production programs
- Support all areas of biotech production related to cell culture
- Monitor cell culture, purification, filling, inspection, and packaging processes
- Review and complete batch records, SOPs, and logbooks following cGMP standards
- Ensure availability of production batch records for upcoming lots
- Perform equipment cleaning, maintenance, and operational readiness checks
- Participate in equipment start-up, commissioning, and validation activities
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues
- Gather, analyze, and trend manufacturing process data
- Perform in-process sampling and quality control testing
- Maintain safety standards in all production activities
Skills Required for Production Specialist Role:
- Knowledge of biotech manufacturing and cell culture processes
- Understanding of cGMP regulations and documentation
- Ability to operate and maintain production equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
