Educational Requirements:
- University degree in biology, biotechnology, or comparable field
- Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare preferred
- Strong knowledge of GMP, quality processes (OOS, deviations, Change Control, CAPAs)
Key Responsibilities for Associate Director role:
- Lead analytical technology transfer projects across internal and external manufacturing networks
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for CMOs, CTOs, and internal sites
- Support onboarding of new sites into BioNTech SE’s manufacturing and testing network
- Conduct analytical investigations and problem-solving during transfers and routine operations
- Oversee creation and approval of work instructions, validation documents, and supporting documentation
- Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies to maintain state-of-the-art methods
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement in the laboratory
Skills Required for Associate Director role:
- Experience leading analytical transfers, method implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and validation
- Knowledge in therapeutic protein analytics (antibodies, ADCs), HPLC, bioassays, and ELISAs
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented, highly conscientious, and problem-solving approach
- Experience managing analytical/QC aspects at external partners (preferred)
- Familiarity with US, EU, EMA, and FDA regulatory standards
