Biotechnology Job Overview
GenScript Europe is seeking a Technical Account Representative to act as a key interface between customers and internal teams. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences who are eager to enter the biotech industry and apply their scientific expertise in a customer-facing, commercial environment.
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Project Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Finance teams, engaging with customers to understand their scientific needs and deliver tailored technical solutions and quotations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily customer service operations, handling initial inquiries related to orders, complaints, and technical support
- Provide primary technical advice and practical solutions to customers
- Interpret customer project requirements and align them with GenScript’s capabilities
- Act as a technical consultant alongside Sales Account Managers to enhance customer satisfaction
- Participate in trade shows and technical events
- Deliver technical presentations to customers
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Master’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology)
- Strong hands-on laboratory experience, including:
- DNA cloning and plasmid preparation
- Protein expression (E. coli, HEK, CHO, insect, and cell-free systems)
- Protein purification
- Western blot and ELISA
- Fluency in English (required)
- Strong communication and technical presentation skills
- Customer-focused, proactive, and action-oriented mindset
- Prior industry or commercial experience is an advantage but not required
