Food Science Internship Overview
As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will support food safety, quality assurance, and laboratory activities within a dairy manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), validation activities, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Food Safety Support
- Uphold Agropur’s Food Safety, Quality, and Employee Safety requirements at all times
- Review documentation related to food safety and laboratory GLP requirements
- Collect samples for equipment, environmental, and in-process monitoring
Laboratory & Validation Activities
- Assist with laboratory equipment validation and method/GLP development
- Support execution of validation reports and method protocols
- Learn to anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve laboratory practice issues
Professional Development
- Work independently or collaboratively to complete assigned projects
- Stay informed on regulations, industry trends, and best practices in dairy quality assurance
- Learn Agropur’s business model and Quality department operations
- Present a summary of projects and lessons learned at the conclusion of the internship
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree program in:
- Dairy Science
- Food Science
- Agricultural Science or related field
