Position Overview
Nestlé USA offers a paid, 6-month Packaging Co-Op program during the Fall 2027 semester (June–December). The program provides hands-on experience in packaging development, from design through manufacturing. Participants are assigned real responsibilities, including involvement in initiatives and leading major projects, with exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Program Overview
Participants in the co-op program:
- Contribute to packaging development and industrialization processes.
- Support sustainability initiatives, quality improvements, cost optimization, and line efficiency efforts.
- Gain exposure through activities such as factory visits, laboratory testing, and trade shows.
- Provide technical assistance to internal teams and collaborate with factory staff, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
Key Outputs
- Lead sustainability and productivity initiatives to reduce material usage by identifying, testing, and qualifying alternative materials or processes.
- Develop protocols and conduct extensive testing to evaluate product and packaging performance in real-world environments.
- Design new packaging formats for various channels (e.g., club stores, value, grocery, e-commerce).
- Assist in preparing documentation and specifications for packaging materials.
- Complete assignments at either corporate or manufacturing sites during the co-op period.
Minimum Requirements
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related field (e.g., Food Science) during the co-op period.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
