The R&D Internship – Ingredient Excellence Centre (Cocoa) at Olam Food Ingredients (Ofi) offers aspiring food science professionals hands-on experience in cocoa product development and testing. Based in Boon Lay, Singapore, this Food Science internship provides exposure to real-world product trials, lab operations, and cross-functional collaboration within a globally recognized cocoa business. Interns selected for the R&D Internship at Ofi Careers will work closely with the Cocoa IEC team to support innovation and product excellence initiatives.

Educational Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree/Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology
  • Prior laboratory experience supporting product trials and application work is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support cocoa product trials and development activities in the Food Science Internship at Ofi Careers
  • Prepare samples for internal evaluations, customer trials, and shelf-life testing
  • Accurately record trial results, observations, and basic data
  • In the Food Science Internship, you should assist in setting up, cleaning, and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Support daily IEC tasks and collaborate cross-functionally on projects
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab environment aligned with food safety and hygiene standards

  • Basic laboratory and product trial experience
