Educational Requirements for the Product Technologist Role:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Product Development, or a related discipline
- Food Hygiene & HACCP Level 3 certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- In the Product Technologist Role, you should develop new products from concept to commercial launch
- Create product formulations based on customer briefs
- Design, prepare, and test lab samples and prototypes
- Conduct finished product application testing in the Food Science Jobs.
- Scale up products from lab and pilot plant to full-scale production
- Perform shelf-life testing and product validation
- Support factory teams during product launches and improvement initiatives
- Facilitate post-launch product reviews
- Act as Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for assigned customer accounts
- Manage customer projects with Key Account Manager support in this Product Technologist Role.
- Maintain accurate documentation, ensuring full process traceability
- Collaborate with Technical, Production, Quality, and cross-functional teams
- As a Product Technologist, you should support and mentor team members and cover for the R&D Manager when required
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of food product development and formulation
- Experience in food manufacturing or related production environments
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Close attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally
