Research Associate Job Summary
Support upstream cell culture development, optimization, scale-up, and technology transfer activities. Collaborate with internal Process Development (PD) teams throughout development and tech transfer efforts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct bench-scale cell culture process development, optimization, and transfer studies under supervision.
- Assist with pilot-scale experiments for non-GMP material generation.
- Support experiment workflow: planning, execution, data collection, and evaluation.
- Analyze and interpret data; contribute to optimization and troubleshooting strategies.
- Follow applicable regulations, international standards, and internal policies.
- Complete all required training (safety, equipment, etc.).
- Contribute to department operations and goals; assist other departments as needed.
Qualifications For Research Associate Job
- BS, MS, or PhD in Life Sciences or related field; 0–2 years relevant experience in biopharma, contract testing/manufacturing, or research labs.
- Hands-on experience with cell culture or media development using bench-scale bioreactors preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
