Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology or related discipline
Key Responsibilities for Laboratory Technologist Role:
- Conduct serologic, bacteriologic, chemical, and microscopic tests in a certified laboratory
- Draw blood and prepare samples for laboratory testing
- Analyze test results and prepare accurate reports
- Maintain records and properly label specimens and test requisitions
- Conduct chemical tests to identify viruses, fungi, protozoa, and foreign matter in food, beverages, water, and tissues
- Review and monitor laboratory tests submitted by personnel
- Prepare media, solutions, strains, and reagents as required
- Perform related duties assigned by supervisors
Skills Required for Laboratory Technologist Role:
