About the Role
Piramal Pharma Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing QA Specialist to support quality assurance activities within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on aseptic operations, environmental monitoring, batch review, and GMP compliance to ensure product quality and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proper aseptic technique and cleanroom behavior while adhering to cGMP standards.
- Perform in-process QA activities, including inspection, labeling, packaging, and line clearances per SOPs.
- Review executed batch records and protocols to support timely batch disposition.
- Conduct environmental monitoring in classified cleanrooms (viable surface/air and non-viable air).
- Perform sampling and laboratory testing of utilities (water, steam, compressed gases).
- Enumerate microbiological plates and document results accurately.
- Assist with cleaning verification sample collection and analysis.
- Participate in audits and support onsite client interactions as required.
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation, including calibration activities.
- Track and trend environmental monitoring data to identify improvements and deviations.
- Manage microbiology material inventory, including EM media plates.
- Prepare and summarize site metrics; write, review, and revise QA and EM SOPs and technical reports.
- Conduct GMP investigations, including root cause analysis, risk assessments, and impact evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management policies.
Qualifications For Biological Science Jobs
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of Quality Assurance or Environmental Monitoring experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Prior experience in QA plant support (IPQA/EM) under strict regulatory guidelines (cGMP, FDA).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (cGMP, OSHA, FDA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions with high attention to detail.
- Understanding of sterile manufacturing (preferred).
- Technical writing skills (preferred).
