Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Field Services Intern to join the Instrument and Enterprise Services Division under the Unity Lab Services brand. This Summer 2026 internship is a core component of Thermo Fisher’s Early Talent Strategy, designed to develop future Field Service Engineers (FSEs) through hands-on exposure and mentorship.
As a Field Service Intern, you will observe and learn from experienced Field Service Engineers while gaining practical insight into delivering exceptional customer service and technical support in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and learn from experienced Field Service Engineers at customer sites
- Complete a designated Field Service-related project
- Present project findings and internship experiences to leadership
- Participate in a one-day volunteer project in the local community
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally with customers and colleagues
- Support customer satisfaction with Thermo Fisher products and services
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a Life Sciences-related field
- Expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027
- Graduating students may apply if continuing education in a higher degree program
Life Science Internship Program Requirements
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks
- Start Date: June 3, 2026
- End Date: August 20, 2026 (approx.)
- Willingness to commute daily to local customer sites
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required
- Strong academic standing at an accredited institution
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
