Life Science Internship Overview
The US Medical Affairs, Solid Tumor Strategy Intern will gain real-world experience supporting US Medical Affairs strategies within the solid tumor oncology space. This role offers exposure to medical affairs strategy development, scientific communications, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to US Medical Affairs solid tumor strategies and tactics supporting safe and effective use of Genmab medicines
- Learn current trends, developments, and the competitive landscape within the US solid tumor market
- Apply scientific and market insights to inform Medical Affairs strategy
- Participate in planning and execution of a Journal Club Presentation, including:
- Scientific literature review and publication intelligence
- Competitive publication analysis
- Presentation of findings and strategic implications to internal teams
- Learn Medical Affairs competencies supporting clinical development and commercialization
- Assist with thought leader engagement activities and internal educational events
- Support speaker selection, agenda development, content creation, and event logistics
- Apply creative problem-solving and develop leadership and project management skills
Required Qualifications for Life Science Internship
- Currently pursuing an advanced degree in Life Sciences (PhD preferred)
- Proficiency with scientific and medical data and terminology
- Strong interest in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
- Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly to diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership in academic or community activities preferred
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaboratively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong initiative with a “can-do” mindset
