Field Medical Advisor Oncology Role Overview

The Field Medical Advisor Oncology will be responsible for maximizing the value of the company’s therapeutic proposals by acting as a scientific expert in the therapeutic area within the field.

The role focuses on engaging with leading specialists, including physicians, pharmacists, board members of scientific societies, and other healthcare stakeholders. The Field Medical Advisor will discuss scientific evidence related to company products, treatment trends, and relevant studies while establishing themselves as a trusted scientific partner.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement

  • Engage with healthcare professionals to communicate scientific information related to oncology therapies.
  • Collect actionable medical insights according to established listening priorities.
  • Act as a reference point for external scientific queries.

Medical Education

  • Identify medical education needs among healthcare professionals.
  • Support educational initiatives and training programs.
  • Lead scientific updates for healthcare professionals involved in medical education initiatives.

Clinical Research

  • Discuss development research and pipeline programs either proactively or reactively.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Team to support recruitment in key clinical trials.
  • Collect unsolicited research proposals related to identified clinical evidence gaps.

Medical Information

  • Provide accurate and timely medical information to healthcare professionals.

Scientific Knowledge Development

  • Continuously update personal scientific knowledge on relevant clinical data, disease management practices, patient treatment trends, and ongoing clinical and research activities.

Compliance

  • Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Internal Scientific Support

  • Provide medical and scientific input to support Health Economics, Market Access, and Reimbursement (HEMAR) activities in collaboration with the Medical Advisor and Therapeutic Area Lead.
  • Deliver clinical data and disease-related training.
  • Conduct medical reviews of regulatory texts such as mSPCs, RMPs, and ICDs when required.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in comparable roles is preferred.

Languages

  • Proficiency in Greek and English, both written and spoken.

Technical Skills

  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver’s license.
