Role Overview:
The Clinical Development Scientist is a clinical trialist responsible for clinical supply management, training implementation, and scientific support across Lilly Gene Therapy Sensory programs. The role involves collaboration with Clinical Supply, Clinical Operations, CROs, and trial sites to ensure readiness for dose administration and the successful execution of global clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities of the Clinical Development Scientist:
- Develop, manage, and update clinical trial documents related to clinical supplies
- Create and maintain training materials for clinical supply and device training
- Plan and conduct clinical supply and material training sessions for sites and CROs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure trial sites are ready for dose administration
- Serve as the clinical development representative with Clinical Supply Management for demand forecasting, logistics, and shipment operations in this Clinical Development Scientist Role.
- Provide clinical and scientific support to assigned clinical trials and program teams
- Support clinical operations in meeting timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Contribute to the authorship and review of regulatory documents, including protocols, Investigator Brochures, CSR, and briefing packages
- Support regulatory strategy planning and communications
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs
Educational Requirements for the Clinical Development Scientist Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (required)
- Master’s degree or higher, PhD (preferred)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical and/or clinical experience
- Experience supporting or conducting clinical trials
- Authorization to work full-time in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
Preferred Skills & Experience for the Jobs at Eli Lilly:
- Experience with global clinical trials, preferably in rare diseases
- Clinical or investigational pharmacy experience with gene therapy products
- Background in gene therapy, cellular therapy, otology, audiology, or medical devices
- Strong understanding of drug development and regulatory approval processes
- Proven ability to support clinical trial execution and development activities
- Ability to analyze scientific data and literature critically
Compensation & Benefits of the Life Science Jobs:
- Salary Range: USD $63,000 – $154,000 (based on experience and location)
