Role Summary
As an Applications Specialist at BD Biosciences, you will deliver expert flow cytometry training and application support across the UK and Ireland. This field-based role involves regular travel to clinical diagnostic, healthcare, research, and industry laboratories. You will also support pre-sales activities including demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site, in-house, and virtual flow cytometry training
- Provide application and troubleshooting support in clinical and research labs
- Support diagnostic laboratories to ensure accurate and timely results
- Conduct pre-sales demonstrations of instruments, reagents, and solutions
- Deliver customer seminars, workshops, and presentations
- Support LIMS integration for BD Biosciences solutions
- Provide internal product training
- Collaborate with regional sales and technical teams
About You
- Degree in Life Sciences (Immunology, Haematology, or Cell Biology preferred)
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- Extensive hands-on flow cytometry experience
- Strong understanding of clinical diagnostic laboratory workflows
- Comfortable working in regulated clinical environments (GLP/GMP experience welcome)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving licence required
Work Arrangement
- Field-based role with regular travel
- Overnight stays required
- On-site collaboration prioritized where applicable
