Educational Requirements for the Lab Manager Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional laboratory experience
- Experience in life sciences research preferred
Key Responsibilities of the Lab Manager:
- In this Lab Manager Role, you have to maintain laboratory inventory, prepare aliquots, and manage supply ordering
- Conduct support experiments involving human pluripotent stem cell culture
- Prepare buffers, media, and coat tissue culture plates
- Train new students and staff in laboratory techniques, including qRT-PCR and immunofluorescence
- Manage laboratory finances and support grant writing activities
- Coordinate collaborations and assist with lab operations across multiple research projects
- Provide direct support to the Principal Investigator and lab members
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and institutional policies in this Lab Manager Role
Skills Required for the Lab Manager Role:
- Experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques
- Strong organizational and laboratory management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
