Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual and analytical inspections of incoming raw materials and food contact packaging in this Microbiologist Job at iD Fresh Food.
  • Perform sampling for microbiological analysis to ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement and goods-in teams to quarantine non-conforming materials and raise non-conformance reports.
  • Implement a comprehensive swabbing program to monitor hygiene standards in this Microbiologist Job in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Conduct swabs for food contact surfaces, personnel hygiene, and air quality monitoring.
  • Record and report results to the QA Manager, highlighting hygiene failures for corrective actions.
  • Prepare media, samples, and laboratory equipment for microbiological testing.
  • As a QA Executive, you should conduct pathogen and indicator organism testing, including TPC, Coliforms, E. coli, Yeasts, and Moulds.
  • Maintain accurate analytical records in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Monitor incubation temperatures and calibrate laboratory equipment in this Microbiology Job.
  • Lead weekly GEMBA walks to observe production processes and identify quality gaps.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify microbiological risks such as condensation, temperature abuse, or poor hygiene practices.
  • Provide immediate feedback and hygiene coaching to production staff.
  • Conduct quality inspections of in-process goods, verifying parameters such as temperature, weight, size, and appearance in this Microbiology Job.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) related to microbiological safety.
  • Assist in investigating customer complaints related to microbiological contamination.
  • Ensure laboratory activities comply with Global Standard for Food Safety requirements.
  • Assist in the validation and verification of cleaning schedules.
  • Support QA teams during internal and external audits.

Educational Requirements for this Job:

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Microbiology, Food Science, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline

Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of microbiological testing and aseptic techniques.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring and pathogen analysis.
  • Understanding of food spoilage organisms and food safety standards.
  • Close attention to detail in laboratory testing and documentation.
  • Ability to interpret microbiological data and identify root causes of hygiene failures.
  • Strong communication skills to explain quality and safety risks to production teams.
  • Experience in food manufacturing laboratories, preferably in fresh or chilled food production environments.
