Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of microbiology experience, or
  • Associate’s degree in Life Science, Pharmaceutical, or related field with 2–4 years of microbiology experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Biology with 1–2 years of microbiology experience
  • Experience with data management systems such as LIMS or TrackWise

Key Responsibilities for QC microbiology associate role:

  • Perform routine microbiological testing of clean utilities such as water, steam, and compressed gases
  • Conduct QC microbiology testing including Bioburden, Endotoxin, and Growth Promotion
  • Carry out environmental monitoring of controlled manufacturing environments
  • Review laboratory data and enter results into LIMS
  • Maintain CGMP compliance, inspection readiness, and data integrity
  • Support deviations, non-conformances, and quality system activities
  • Assist with laboratory equipment qualification and validation
  • Participate in continuous improvement and project execution initiatives

Skills Required for QC microbiology associate role:

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbiology practices
  • Understanding of USP and European Pharmacopeia standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical writing and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with LIMS and quality data management systems
  • Ability to work independently and in team-based environments
  • Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing facility
