QC Technologist Position Overview
The QC Microbiology team is seeking a Microbiology – QC Technologist to support the quality and safety of products through essential microbiological testing. This role is suited for individuals who enjoy hands-on laboratory work and aim to contribute directly to the delivery of life-changing therapies.
Role Summary
The Microbiology – QC Technologist works within the QC Microbiology team to ensure product quality and safety by conducting microbiological testing and maintaining compliance with GMP and cGMP standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Microbiology – QC Technologist is responsible for:
- Carrying out microbiological testing to support product qualifications, routine testing, and environmental monitoring.
- Recording and documenting results in accordance with GMP and cGMP requirements.
- Reviewing data, identifying concerns, and communicating issues to QC management.
- Maintaining laboratory standards through housekeeping, equipment care, and inventory checks.
- Supporting media, reagent, and method qualification activities.
- Following all relevant safety procedures while performing laboratory tasks.
- Keeping GMP training up to date and completing required learning on time.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate possesses:
- A BSc in a life science discipline or equivalent experience.
- Practical experience in microbiological techniques.
