Educational Requirements:

2/3-year higher education degree (Bac +2/+3) in Biological Engineering, Molecular Biology, or Biological Analyses

Key Responsibilities of Microbiology Technician Role:

  • Organize and conduct microbiology and molecular biology experiments
  • Implement and optimize protocols on cheese, fermented plant, and fruit matrices (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid QC)
  • Support omics data analysis in collaboration with research scientists
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results
  • Participate in laboratory management (safety, inventory, ordering)

Skills Required for Microbiology Technician Role:

  • Knowledge of microbiology (inoculation, isolation, identification)
  • Molecular biology skills (nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, sequence analysis)
  • Flow cytometry experience is a plus
  • Strong organization, autonomy, rigor, and dynamic work ethic
  • Prior experience in the agri-food sector is advantageous
