Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or equivalent Life Science
  • 1–2 years of experience in a cGMP-compliant industry

Key Responsibilities of Microbiology Technician Role:

  • Perform routine and non-routine microbiological testing
  • Conduct environmental monitoring to support aseptic manufacturing
  • Execute assays for sterility, endotoxin, bioburden, and microbial limits
  • Maintain laboratory cultures, media preparation, and autoclave operations
  • Record data in LIMS following GDP and ALCOA principles
  • Support validation activities, investigations, and microbial trending
  • Assist with inventory management and 5S laboratory standards

Skills Required for Microbiology Technician Role:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology testing and EM techniques
  • Strong understanding of cGMP and SOP compliance
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
