Educational Requirements for the Factory Hygienist:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related fields)
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

  • In the Food Safety Jobs, you must ensure adherence to Nestlé principles, policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain hygiene-related components of the factory food safety management system
  • Validate cleaning, sanitation, and allergen programs
  • Support hygienic design adherence for new projects
  • Resolve non-conformances and support food safety problem-solving
  • Support root cause analysis and quality failure elimination
  • Share best practices and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Contribute to water-savings and sanitation improvement initiatives
  • Validate hygiene programs to ensure proper system design
  • Support utilization of problem-solving tools for RCAs and corrective actions
  • Promote factory-wide food safety awareness
  • Develop training for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Participate in hygiene and food safety networks
  • Coach and train individuals across departments

Skills Required for the Factory Hygienist Role:

  • HACCP or Food Safety team experience (preferred)
  • CIP/specialized sanitation experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of hygienic design evaluations
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong coaching, training, and communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving capability
  • Ability to deliver results through cross-functional collaboration
