Job Description
At DSO National Laboratories, the Molecular Biologist will be part of the Human Systems Division, contributing to cutting-edge research in biological science. This life science job focuses on developing solutions to detect and characterize pathogens using advanced multi-omics approaches.
You will design and execute experiments to investigate the functional characteristics of pathogens and evaluate the impact of potential countermeasures. Additionally, you will analyze experimental data and communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations, making a real impact in defence research.
Qualifications
A Molecular Biologist Role requires:
- Degree / Masters / PhD in Life Sciences / Molecular Biology / Molecular Biotechnology
- Demonstrated expertise in extensive suite of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification
- Familiar with cellular and biochemical assays to investigate:
- Biological characteristics of bacteria
- Anti-virulence properties of countermeasures
- Willing to work in BSL3
- Possess good communication and writing skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Motivated individual with keen interest in research who stays updated on advancements in biotechnology
