Paid Molecular Biology Internship Overview

The Immunotoxicology Intern position is based within the Immunotoxicology (iTox) Group at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in La Jolla, California. This summer internship offers hands-on experience in drug development, safety, and efficacy through in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology studies. The role is designed for undergraduate students or recent graduates seeking exposure to a cross-functional pharmaceutical laboratory environment.

  • Participate in planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of immunotoxicology experiments
  • Support in vitro and ex vivo pharmacology studies related to drug safety and efficacy

Qualifications and Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

  • Expected Pay Range: $23.00 – $51.50 per hour, based on program year, discipline, degree, and experience
  • Anticipated Base Pay Range: $26.50 – $59.00 per hour
  • Eligibility for company-sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with plan terms
  • Sick time benefits of up to 40 hours per calendar year (56 hours for Washington State residents)
  • Eligibility to participate in the company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension)
