Eligibility Criteria For Postdoctoral Fellowship
- Must be a national of an ICGEB Member State
- Fellowship cannot be undertaken in the applicant’s country of origin, unless the applicant has worked abroad for at least 3 consecutive years at the time of application
- Must hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years of research experience
- Preference is given to candidates under 35 years of age
Duration & Financial Support
- Duration: 1–6 months
- Monthly Stipend:
- Trieste, Italy: €2,300
- New Delhi, India: USD 1,749
- Cape Town, South Africa: ZAR 27,500
- Travel: Round-trip travel expenses from the fellow’s home country to the ICGEB host laboratory
- Health Insurance: Medical coverage for the full fellowship duration
- Visa Costs: Visa and residence permit application and renewal costs reimbursed
- Family Support: No financial or administrative support provided for family members
