Educational Requirements for the Quality Supervisor:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Supervisor:
- Coordinate quality assurance activities, including audits, training, and supply purchasing
- Oversee food safety and quality programs related to dairy processing operations
- Supervise lab testing for raw milk intake, fluid milk processing, storage, drying, and blending
- Provide technical guidance and support to QA team members
- Monitor and verify the HACCP plan Critical Control Points (CCPs)
- In this Quality Supervisor Role, you have to conduct GMP and sanitation audits across production and warehouse areas
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve quality and food safety issues
- Ensure operational control systems are functional and followed
- Manage product holds, releases, and dispositions in compliance with procedures
- Coordinate investigation and resolution of customer complaints
- Support audits, new equipment installation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills Required for the Quality Supervisor Role:
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety systems, HACCP, and GMPs
- Understanding of FDA and USDA regulations
- Proven experience supervising or leading quality teams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities are required for this Quality Supervisor Role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
