Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
- Formal training or certifications in food safety and quality systems are an advantage
Key Responsibilities for Quality Control Manager Role:
- Lead the Quality Control team to ensure timely testing and product release
- Manage production laboratories, equipment, and consumables
- Implement Kerry Global food safety and quality standards
- Support prerequisite programs including GMP, sanitation, and pest control
- Act as gatekeeper for New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA plans
- Use SPC tools to improve product quality and CpK
- Train, evaluate, and mentor laboratory employees
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high service levels
Skills Required for Quality Control Manager Role:
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in food safety, quality assurance, and compliance
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, hazard analysis, and risk assessment
- Familiarity with BRC, SQF, WQA, AQIS standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience is desirable
