Educational Requirements for the Quality Technician Role:
- Relevant academic coursework or 1-year practical laboratory experience preferred
- Rising junior or senior preferred
- Majors: Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Safety, or STEM-related fields
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:
- At Nestlé Careers, you have to register, process, and prepare samples for analytical testing
- Perform routine and complex microbiological analyses using NQAC methods
- Read and record analytical results with accurate sample identification
- Operate laboratory instruments (balances, pH meters, autoclaves, etc.)
- Support QA processes including documentation, QA plans, and ICPs
- Assist with equipment maintenance and request repairs when needed
- Participate and lead Lean Laboratory initiatives
- Contribute to method review, improvement, and documentation
- Attend internal and external training sessions
- Maintain professionalism and follow laboratory SOPs at all times
Skills Required for the Quality Technician Role:
- Knowledge in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, or food safety
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to follow SOPs and perform trained laboratory tasks
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building abilities
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to learn new tasks quickly
- Strong communication skills (basic English reading/writing/speaking)
- Professionalism and ability to work in a structured lab environment
